Trim

A visit to my parents usually means I ask my mom to trim my hair, haha.
I've been falling behind on my idea that I would maintain my hair at fingertip length for a while.

Funny how that works: Hair growth is what happens when you're busy making other plans.

Sorry for the slightly blurry picture. It doesn't show the resulting trim very well.
Mom took quite a bit off! And yet I couldn't tell after braiding it again, haha.

Today's hair

I have an appointment with my massage therapist tomorrow. (I highly recommend going to Kana at Frisk o Vacker Hudvård in Lund, should any of my readers be local!)
My hair always seems to be in the way for her work... So far the best option seems to be a slightly lose single braid, but a single braid seems to be mildly irritating to move around for her too: It's too heavy, yet slippery and won't stay in one place.

So I figured I would try with four little braids.

Then I felt like messing around with the four braids and see if I could get something fun or useful out of it.

Hmm, maybe?

Using the four small braids in a form of Royal buns/Minibuns resulted in nicely flattened buns.

Looked funny with two of the braids hanging lose.

All four minibraids pinned up and bunned. Meh, not that cute.

Using the four little braids to form a braided Chinese bun worked pretty well!

Charcoal detox

I was sick a lot in April. It was pretty scary to me. First it was bad stomach, then fever, coughing, more fever and more coughing, then more fever and coughing again.
It was a pretty scary experience, because it felt like whatever I did, I just couldn't shake it.

There's a lot of "detoxes" out there on the internet, but using activated charcoal to detox seems like a potentially inoffensive idea. One of those "Can't really hurt, can it?"-things. Hubby and I did a quick five day detox using it.
The taste of the charcoal itself brings out a vague memory of faceplanting in sand as a small child (Before being old enough to worry about who or what might have used the sandbox as a bathroom)

But we ended up adding some carrot, ginger and apple which should be good for the liver (Everything is good for something, isn't it? Seems like any fruit or vegetable will be used for some sort of shot) which made it slightly sweet.

It wasn't bad. I don't think it did anything bad for us, but I'm not entirely sure it "detoxed" anything either. We would probably try it again some time though.

Today's hair

Two Dutch braids pulled up and under their "neighbors" base.

Looks pretty cute just like this!
Like a butterfly or something?

The ends of the two braids wrapped around the middle of the "bun" until I ran out of braids,  then pinned with a Flexi.

Current supplement routine

My supplement routine always varies a little according to what I feel like or feel inspired by.

My classic combination of fibre, fish oil and multivitamins. I think I have been taking this combination for something like 20 years now!

For my skin: Inositol (Keeps my dermotillomania down) collagen, hyaluronic acid and spearmint supplements (Inspired by Tracy over at Fanserviced-B to keep androgen acne and breakouts down)

The more or less random stuff: Pro biotics and acai berry supplements. Just some stuff I stumbled upon and though "Yea, why not?".

New elastics

I've been meaning to replace my little jar of elastics. It's a mixture of different brands by now, and I keep wanting to replace them with nice uniform ones of identical quality.

So I did! Glitter has some really nice ones that can actually tolerate oil.

The print on the little boxes says "Wherever my hair ties go, I hope they are happy".

Today's hair

I didn't really feel like redoing the double Dutch braids from the other day, even though they are getting pretty fuzzy.

I figured maybe I could pull the braids up through their own base and make some small, cute buns a little further up.

Hmm. Maybe it would look cuter on "newer" braids?

Deep conditioning results

Washed the Elistraee out this morning and my hair felt great: Soft and smooth. Also it seemed to have a sort of "puffing" affect on my hair because it feels very thick today.

The orange eyebrows from the Rusalki treatment has calmed down a lot too. Almost matches my sun-bleached ends now!
