Here's a ridiculous longhaired problem: Your hair has a tendency to murder things.
Mostly elastics. But also combs.
My shed hairs have a tendency to cling onto the hair still on my head, so when I put down my comb to resume putting my hair up, I have enough "slack" that I don't even notice. One motion, and it pulls on the shed hair, which pulls the comb off the counter....
