Maybe I could do a second "loop" for the top part of the 8? They have a certain "bottom heavy" look to them that I don't really like.

To switch things up a little I made four five-stranded braids instead of three-stranded braids. I'm a little ambivalent about making five-stranded braids because on one hand, I think they look awesome, but on the other hand I have to acknowledge that I can barely tell the difference myself.
