Ringsted, part 1/3

I spent a lot of time last year in the city of Ringsted. It’s a city in the middle of the island of Sjælland, Denmark and has around 22 thousand inhabitants. Because of the easy access to Copenhagen, so a fairly popular place to live for pendlers.

This is Sankt Bendts church from 1170. It was the first brick church in Denmark and built by Valdemar the greatSeveral kings and queens have been buried here.

Turned 180 degrees from the church, back over a city square area.

Lots of tiny old houses squeezed in around the town.

The windmill is from 1804 and is part of a historical museum.

Water tower from 1915. There is a radio museum around the corner.

Turned 180 degrees from the last picture, two huge old abandoned industrial-like buildings towering over the city. Looks so odd in comparison to the neat villas around.

Odd little church squeezed in between some little houses.

Picture was taken on a Sunday, so the place was closed, but this is the best little nerd store ever.

I’ve seen a lot of hot air balloons in Ringsted. Super zoom of a pigeon having the brightest idea of its life ever!

Weirdest “decoration” I have ever seen in a garden. The fountain itself is huge and with the pedestal and the odd “roof” thing over it, it has to be 5-6 meter tall.

SPF time

One of the things I always advice people, is to protect their hair against the sun. Sun can be really damaging to hair… Just see what it can do to old fabric or old paintings.
Hair can’t repair itself and you can’t out-condition the damage once it’s done, so it’s important to protect it.

I always dump about a tablespoon of real SPF with physical sunblock for skin into my 200 ml leave in conditioner bottle. That’s about how much it can take without changing texture or making my hair greasy. It probably doesn’t add up to a lot of SPF, but a little is better than none.
Even though I try to protect my own hair from sun, I still have some fading at the ends. Oh well. I still do my best that it won’t be worse than it already is. (One of the reasons I keep trimming my ends!)

The Schwarzkopf Bonacure is so far my favourite line for the SPF.
It’s affordable, available at netshops and has a nice smell. How much SPF is actually has, I don’t know though.

I mix the creamy one into my leave in conditioner and dust the spray all over my finished updo.

Double braids

Hmm. The right (Or wrong) angle of the braids and the ends completely disappear on a photo.

It does amuse me though that even with the braids crossed at the neck, they are still so long.

Srsly

I just went looking for a set of bobby pins that would match my outfit perfectly. I know for a fact I had placed them in a little plastic container straight after buying them and that I’ve never worn them… And yet one is missing?

What magic is this?
