Saturday the 15th Rope bun (Not braided bases)

Welp, this one is one of those updos where I wish I had someone to help me. It's so much easier to do on someone else. The rope braid is one of those styles I really struggle with, and it's hard for me to get the tension and motions right.
I ended up trying to "trap" the strands between my knees while working on the next one, and then between a foot and a chair. LOL! It must have looked ridiculous and I was happy Hubby wasn't home!

It has some good angles and some bad. It's fairly pretty though!

I'm used to spotting my buns when I look in the mirror, but this bun is huge!

Not entirely satisfied with how it turned out, but this is good enough.

Hairstick is an Elk and iron stick. Unfortunately this Etsy store seems to have ceased to exist? Too bad, because the stick is so pretty and so hair friendly and the store deserved more recognition.
