Out and about with some friends in the sun.

I've been listening to Babymetal all day. It's a concept I want to hate with all my metal-loving heart, but I just... can't.
It's just too damn catchy. Really, really catchy.

What can I say? I give: They make me want to headbang...

Anyways. They also made me want to do something involving twin tails. My idea was originally something like double knotty buns where part of my hair is hanging loose, but I ended up making two braids to pin up.
Still liked the result!

Throwback Thursday

I wish I could figure out when this photo is from... 2004-ish, maybe?
My hair was finally beginning to feel "long" because I could make the saddest, tiniest, most falling-apart-iest little bun instead of being stuck with ponytails and short braids.

N.E.E.T-time ahead

I just finished the latest project and I quit job #2. I quit job #1 a while back.

So that officially makes me “Not in Education, Employment or Training”.

Crazy. I honestly can't remember what it's like to not have one or more projects hanging over your head. 

Now what?

Well, first I'm going to enjoy my freedom. 

Hubby is booked for work this summer (To my protest!) so he will be working nights, which in itself complicates any sort of routine for us. Also, him working efficiently blocks any idea of travelling I had. Hmpf.

So I'm just going to play N.E.E.T and housewife this summer.

Today's hair

Last summer I kept having issues with breakouts along the hairline at my neck from the summer heat. This year I have tried to keep my use of single buns at the base of my head to a minimum, and so far it seems to have kept the problem at bay.

But now maybe I will develop problems where the double braids or buns have their base...?
Sensitive skin, thick hair and hot, sweaty weather is really not a good combination...
