Today's hair

I just realized I had the Olaplex no. 6 hidden way deep on my hair products shelf. I probably just shoved it in the back after making the review. Hint: I was not impressed.

I quite liked it though!
It held really well, made my hair easy to work with and left a nice shine.
But I'm not sure if that is worth the hefty pricetag!

Have you guys seen this thing?

Okay, I actually thought this was pretty cool: Customizeable hair products
Functionofbeauty

It first asks about your hair type: Straight, wavy, curly, coily
Then it asks about your hair structure: Fine, medium, coarse
It asks about scalp moisture: Dry, medium, oily

Next step, they ask for your hair goals and I was mildly annoyed with this, because other than the dictionary definitions of the words, who can really, honestly tell what these things really mean?
Then I saw that it changed the added ingredients to the formulation depending on what you picked:

DEEP CONDITION: Moisturize and deeply condition your hair from the inside out to repair damage from heat and/or chemical processing.
Adds: Shea butter + avocado oil.
STRENGTHEN: Increase your hair’s resilience and elasticity, stimulate healthy hair growth and protect your hair from breakage.
Adds: horsetail extract + evening primrose oil.
ANTI-FRIZZ: Hydrate and soften hair texture while protecting strands from frizz, static and breakage.Adds:
Tamarind extract + argan oil.
CURL DEFINITION: Enhance and define your natural curls to achieve smoother texture and improve overall manageability.
Adds: Chia seed extract + linseed extract.
NOURISH ROOTS: Stimulate your hair roots and facilitate the transport of key nutrients to hair bulbs and shafts for healthier, fuller hair.
Adds: Blue-green algae + coconut fruit extract.

Finally, you can also check a box for silicone free products.

I could easily have picked "hydrate", because, who doesn't want that? But that would have added aloe vera, which I'm allergic to, and coconut oil which has a strong comodogenic affect on my skin and I avoid at all costs. So, good thing you can find the ingredients.

Third step is to pick a fragrance:
Peach and mandarin
Rose and black currant
Pear and apple
Eucalyptus and mint
Lavender and eucalyptus
and fragrance free

And if the fragrance should be light, medium or strong

And then, and this is perhaps the funniest part: You can pick your own, printed label. Only 10 characters, but still!
So I could fit in "Belltower" or "Lady Igor" or something.

You can also pick colours for the finished bottles.

The finished products are firmly out of the range I'm willing to pay for my conditioners, but I'm still tempted. It would be pretty fun to have "my own" products like this?

Today's hair

I practiced the rope braid today.

As much as I love the rope braids in themselves, I felt like the finished updo actually hides some of the details of the beginning of the braid?
