Today's toes

I have a bunch of stuff on my have to do-list. And a bunch of stuff on my nice to do-list.
So what do I do?

I decide it's time to tramp up my toes.
Or rather, tartan up my toes I guess?

On a happy note, I finally "tamed" that cool nail decal transfer kit I bought ages ago.
Step 1: Throw away that awful, cheap white polish that came with the kit and was supposed to go under the design to make the pattern stand out. Why didn't I figure this out sooner? That awful thing never seemed to harden no matter how long I left it to dry.
Step 2: Allow each layer a lot of time to dry. I fitted an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force in between each layer, so like 12 minutes between each.

Favorite episode.

Ugh. Even this post turned into procrastination.

  1. Oooh! I love these! Where'd you get these wraps? The ones in my area are all the same and I LOVE tartan!

    1. They're not actually wraps, but a pattern you can transfer from paper using a transfer solution :) I got them ages ago from Memebox. Unfortunately I can't seem to find them for sale anywhere again, but after googling for it I found a lot of other bloggers who had tried it. Like here: http://www.setinlacquer.com/2013/10/dear-rus-character-print-transfer-kit.html
Not sure it helps a lot, but it should be possible to find something similar elsewhere, right?
I did like that they didn't have a layer of "some plastic" in there, but just the pattern transferred onto nailpolish. I had some really mixed luck with real wraps: Some fall apart after less than a day and some lasted until I had "roots", lol. Weird thing is that even in the same brand and line, there is a crazy difference on how well they last *shrug*

    2. Ah! We have tons of different nail wraps available here---the Sally Hansen ones and Jamberry, but I'm not impressed with Jamberry tbh. I love Sally Hansen's (Christmas ones are great!), but they have limited patterns--likely just in my area since I'm in Canada. I've seen pink plaid via Sally Hansen, but not here. (enter pouty face) Thanks for the link though!

    3. Like you, I found many wraps disappointing. The Jamberry started to come off within a day. Sally Hansen, on the other hand, lasted 2 weeks--and that was 2 weeks at the barn, banging into things etc.
