Today's hair

I had the idea of using the twists in a more advanced way and crossing them over before braiding my hair.
Based on previous experience, I expected it to be quite a pain to keep the twists separated from each other and the loose hair... And it was!
But, it looked really nice as soon as I finished the twists!
So nice that I went to get a picture of it before I even finished the braids.

I felt really encouraged by the great start, so I "fancied" my planned regular braids up a bit and made two five-stranded ones.
Again: Really pleased with the result!

  1. I love the twists! Been wanting to figure out a style to use this with for myself. Thanks for this post---helps give me ideas :D

    1. Me too! :) I have to say they were difficult to control, but the end result was totally worth it. An "accent" twist is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do... :)

  2. Really like how this looks! Do you just twist the hair did you make "topsy tails"? I even have one of those topsy tail makers, but my hair doesn't really fit in it well and I always have the worst tangles afterwards.

    1. Thank you :) No, I made it without any tools. But now that you mentioned it: I think I have one of those somewhere. Maybe it would be easier to use that the next time!
