Tried some new leave-ins

I was feeling fancy and wanted to try some new leave in-products instead of my usual orange Sunsilk.
I even had grand plans of making an in-depth analysis of them.
I didn’t really get around to it though.

First, the Aussie product (Granted, in association with two other Aussie conditioners) annoyed me so much with its scent that I gave it away.
It’s not even an unpleasant smell, it’s just so damn strong I couldn’t ignore it in the room. Weirder still, it seemed to give off a “puff” of smell every time I moved them?!

Then the Frizz ease made my skin break out. Hair didn’t mind, but my skin absolutely hated it and started itching on my hands and scalp. I don’t intentionally put leave in-conditioner on my scalp, but some will “travel” after I put it on the length and comb my hair into an updo.

The Toni&Guy leave in seemed nice enough. Too heavy for my taste and way too expensive though.

Meh. No reason to waste too much energy on products that just didn’t work for me.

The culprits: Itchy, Smelly and Expensive.

Curls

I was caught in a rainstorm before lunch and when I came home, my loose hairs had formed the most perfect little S-curls.
I loved them!
How can I recreate them in a way that doesn’t involve nasty cold rain?

BB cream

Anyone else still using these or has the hype passed?
After lots of experiments with mine, I have ended up only using mine in one way: In a 50-50 mix with my regular day cream on days where I just need a light cover and glow.

Thistle oil

The first oil I ever had any success with, was thistle oil.
It was completely random: I had bought it for cooking use and on a whim, I put some in my ends and wrapped a plastic around it.
For the first time ever, my hair didn’t throw a fit over oil.
Up until then, it always felt like I was “missing” out on something. It seemed like all other longhairs had the whole oil-thing perfected and had amazing results with it and just couldn’t live without it.
Me? My hair turned into a horrible stringy mess if I tried to oil it.
Up until that very day where I put it in the ends like that day.
Since then I have made oils work for me.
I still can’t use any on the top half of my hair without irritating results, but I don’t feel the need to force it to work.
However, I haven’t been able to find thistle oil since then.
Not that I have put a lot of effort into it, I have just been checking the oil-sections of most supermarket I have been in.
Now, randomly I found it.
And I’m very excited to see if it’s actually any good…

Shopping

When I posted about the Outlet Village in Ringsted, I might not have mentioned just how awesome I think the place was.
I’m usually not the kind of person who enjoys shopping. I always get confused and irritated over the staff and the supply of choices.
But it turned out that outlet stores are just perfectly suited for me, so… I went a little crazy.
Oops.

New combs

These are from Hercules Sägemann and it was instant love.
They are natural rubber and just feel like quality: Heavy, smooth, shiny.
First time I bought a comb that I didn’t feel the need to take some sandpaper to it, to make sure it was snag free!

Nails

I tried some Maybelline Colorshow nail stickers.
The odd thing about nail stickers is, they don’t seem to last better or worse if they are heat-free.
You would think that adding heat should make them “seal” better?
Then again, I use base coat and top coat around the stickers, so maybe that’s it?

Oh, and I turned these “wrong” because I thought lengthwise stripes would look better.
