Today's hair

I have seen people do little tightly stacked baby buns where it almost has a mohawk-effect, but this didn't really do it, unfortunately. Meh. 

Also the top bun got noticeably bigger than the rest. Double meh.

Today's hair

I felt like doing something different with my hair, but once I was about to actually do something, I felt lazy. So... Compromise? Three regular three-stranded braids. Going to make three little buns tomorrow. 

My autumn funk is kicking in these days... Everything is cold, grey and wet. Meh.

But! This brought me some energy:

Idiot hair

The sharp morning light on my commute was perfect for highlighting how coarse my hair really is.

Some times, regrowth sticks out with no regards for gravity. And this is why growing it out to begin with was such a pain in my shapely ass.

A perfect meatspace example of idiot hair, really. Heh.

Today's hair

 

I needed to practice my five stranded braid, so today's updo is a five stranded Dutch braid turned into a Nautilus bun.

It's funny how the flatness of the five stranded braid really helps with the nautilus bun.

It doesn't get that weird "inner coils spilling out" effect like the three stranded braid has.

Spent a little time in the fading autumn light in the city park today. It will probably be the last day I can do this.

Today's hair

I made double cinnamon buns today.

No matter what I did, the pink elastics showed through, so I ended up picking a shirt with pink details to match. Then it looked like it was on purpose. Problem solved!

They were pretty comfortable to wear, and held up nicely all day.

Nightblooming order on the way

I of course had to have Nightbloomings second book in the trilogy.

And some tea. And some more tea.

And some cassia. And some colourless herbal hair conditioner, and the blonde version, and the strawberry hair coloured version that I use in very small amounts in my cassia mud.

The Alcina L'Occitane christmas calendar is sort of ok

I only knew this brand from their rich, heavily scented hand creams, but yet, I was surprised at how many rich, heavily scented hand creams this calendar had. Seven. It had seven. 

I guess I don't object so much, because it's always nice to have small hand creams instead of big ones that take up room in your bag? But still, it surprised me.

Meh. I never claimed I was smart that way.

It had a single shampoo and a single conditioner, where I will definitely use the conditioner mixed into something else. 

I think I might put the bodylotions and shower gels and such into my constantly semi-packed travel bag.
