Okay, the Nautilus bun officially mystifies me!
I'm guessing I'm right at the limit of making the updo work for me at all, but two factors seems to be a part of it...
1: How many strands I make the base braid. In this case 5, which makes the updo way flatter and easier to work with.
2: The kind of tool I use for it. This thin Ron Quattro fork worked well, but thicker sticks seems to push the bun out of balance.
