December 20th

The Schwarzkopf Christmas calendar had something that looked really fancy today.

But.. Can anyone tell me exactly what this is?

As far as I can tell, this product is a tinting, glossing colour product from a tinting, glossing colour product line.
Except that this one is the colourless version.

So it's fancy conditioner?

Schwarzkopf Igora Vibrance Clear 0-00 ingredient list
Aqua, Propylene Glycol, PEG 12 Dimethicone, Sodium Sulfite, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Crosspolymer, Ethanolamine, Potassium Phosphate, PPG-1 PEG-9 Lauryl Glycol ether, Sodium Methylparaben, Xylitylglucoside, Niacinamide, Panthenol, Parfum, Anhydroxylitol, PEG 12 Allyl Ether, Xantham Gum, PEG 12, Etidronic Acid, Xylitol

COSDNA gave it this analysis:

I mean, it pretty much looks like a conditioner, right? It even has niacinamide and panthenol.
And there are no acne and irritants-warnings, and all ingredients are in green or yellow.
So that's good, but I'm still unsure of what this product is.
Can I mix it with a regular conditioner?

Anyone?

Body shop had a nice facial mist. But, aloe vera. Groan.

I'm feeling mildly crappy today, so we're spending the weekend indoors being warm and comfortable. I hope none of us gets sick. That would suck right up to Christmas!

  1. I hope you feel better today and that you won't have to work over the weekend.

And, I do know this product! Used it on a friend, it' like you guessed, a gloss, but without coloring. It's supposed to freshen up hair colors that look a little faded, but when you don't want to dye it again, by conditioning. It also has, if I remember that correctly, some colorless pigment in it that will reflect the light better, so that the hair will look shinier and more vibrant. It can either be used on its own, like a conditioning gloss, or mixed with the colored products of the line, to dilute them.

Friend did like it and her hair looked very nice after, but her hair type is completely different from yours: 2c/3a, ii and with a bit of damage from multiple dye-jobs.

    1. That sounds promising! I like what you describe, and now I think I will try to use it :) From the ingredient list I would say I should be able to mix it with a regular conditioner without problems (because I need some more volume for the full hair) but what do you say, Buchfreundin? Any chance you did that for your friend? ;)

    2. Nope, sorry, no mixing for her. Her hair was about APL length, medium thickness. We didn't need the entire bottle, as it spread well, but definitely more than 2/3. but i think it should mix well with another conditioner, since it can also be mixed with the other colored products of that line. Doubt it'll be bad.

    3. Thank you for sharing your experience! :) The ingredient list does point to that it should be possible, but it's still really nice to hear from someone who has actually seen this product in action. I feel confident it will be okay for my hair now :)
