I think it looks cute!I've never seen my hair do anything like it, but BF has coarse 1b/ii hair at about APL. He has some nape hair that tends to curl into what I call "the devil's lock" randomly. It doesn't seem like humidity is what makes it appear, it just decides sometimes to pop up. Same really with a couple of shorter strands around he face, but they just wave and don't curl suddenly.
*grin* The devil's lock. I like it!! Huh, happy you mentioned that because I was wondering if the humidity provokes it, but I wasn't really sure. Weird. But cute!
Happy Birthday!!! I missed it on FB! Sorry!Funny thing---I think you are in your 20s(late?) and guess what? I had the SAME thing begin with my hair when I hit about 29-30. My hair dresser said that as we age, the hair can change when it starts to go gray. I doubt you have gray hair, but my hair got curlier and curlier as I aged---but I have it in my genetics--my father has naturally curly hair and my mom's side of the family does too--though her hair is very straight. Mine was originally but I developed a wave, even when it was to my tushie. Hormones can also affect the folicles so check out your new growth! You might see some curl going on, though given the length and weight of your hair, I'm not sure it would show as easily. fun to see though!! :)
I'm actually in my late 30s >__< and feeling the mid life crisis. Ugh.Hmm, haven't otherwise noticed any extra curl anywhere else, but as you say the weight should pull it out. Interesting...
You likely won't see any wave or curl unless you cut your hair--unless you have new growth that is shorter under your hair or front hairline. That's how mine showed up, but I also keep my hair shorter than you to and mine isn't as thick in strand or volume. Oh wow!!! I really thought you were still in your 20s! I hear you---I'm rounding the turn to 50. AHHHH! (not until autumn). I have a few goals to meet before that so that's good! :D
