Ellingwoman/Nautilus hybrid bun

So, I wanted to check something: How big a difference is there between a Dutch or French braid as the base for the Nautilus/Ellingwoman bun? 

Ad as much as I love the Dutch braid as a base, I think it actually looks better with the French base?

The resulting bun sits flatter and neater, even though you can barely see the base braid.
