Trim

I had hubby take off 4 cm today. I would say I was pleased with the result, but once my hair was dry again, I honestly couldn't tell the difference!

When dry, it's right below the knee structure.

(Hubby also felt the need to almost trim off my head when he took the after-pictures. Hmm?)

  1. Igor, did you think on go to mid thigh length on a cut? I think your hair quality will be better, if you want to grow again. But if you want to stay shorter on mid thigh for example... cutting step by step is the best option!

    1. Why is cutting step by step better?

    2. Because hair starts to damage again literally the second you put down the scissors ;) So if you make smaller trims more often, you keep having fresh, less damaged ends. Of course it´s not that the damage "travels" or whatever, but that it can cause tangles to the surrounding hair, which makes you have to detangle and manipulate your hair more, which again causes damage.

  3. It looks like a lot of hair when seeing the amount trimmed, but as you say, viewing the length shot, I doubt I'd even notice. I will say the trimmed off part looks to be in superb condition so good on you for keeping the (6, 7, ?) year old hair so well maintained.

    1. Thank you :) And hmm, I´d say my ends are at least 10 years old? Not entirely sure though....

    2. I'm always fascinated at trying to quantify the age of the hair strand ends. I know you have detailed records of your growth, but I'm not sure of your trims over the years? If you do, another fun math problem for the fans. ;-)

  4. Looks good to me! Ends are starting to look thicker. Remember, you have a LOT of hair. I think it looks like a lot when you trim, but when hair is dry, it will be hard to see. If you cut to tail bone, that would be far more obvious because it would be a drastic change for the eye. I"m sure you'd feel a difference in management (brushing/combing etc).
