Balmain products review

I bought the Balmain products solely because I felt I deserved something pricey and luxurious.

I'm honestly a little disappointed. I figured they would look better in real life and that the website pictures didn't give them justice.

But in real life they just look.... Dunno. Too simple?
I mean, the simple white bottle thing can look really clean and nice, but it just looks boring.
At least the logo is inflated with the size of the bottle with the big bottle.

Since I bought the Balmain products solely because I felt I deserved something pricey and luxurious, this left me having mixed feelings about the products. The big revitalizing conditioner felt slightly boring, but still managed to feel stylish and "clean". But somehow the smaller moisturizing conditioner just felt sad. Maybe because it was so small, maybe because it was missing a label in the back? I don't know what it was.

I'm probably just going to leave them on the bath tub for "decoration".

Not that I'm going to bother with an analysis, but here is the ingredient lists...

  1. Sometimes advertising and image will sell an overpriced product even if the actual performance is subpar. I will say their model is quite alluring.

    1. In this case, I guess it's just the brand name that attracted my attention XD

  2. Had the same experience with some expensive products I bought because I felt I deserved a treat, neither the packaging nor the performance live up to it. But at least you can likely use the products up, even if they're boring and have some nice pump bottles after. I have to say that this "meh" reaction seems to be the case for hair products, the cheaper drugstore stuff is already very good in my opinion. For my face I do buy more expensive, but there I can really tell a difference of my entire face not breaking out in one giant eczema-pimple-mess.

    Balmain's model is very pretty!

    1. That's true! I can refill them after I've used them up :)
It's really like there is only so much you can *do* to hair, even with the fanciest ingredients. Skin, on the other hand... Yes >__<
